Organic Shops in Cape Town

Traveling to a different continent, different country or just a different city, can usually make it very difficult to sustain your regular food habits. Though, often it is not because the food you want are not available, it’s just that you don’t know where to find it. Many travelers ask themselves these questions; Where can i buy organic food in Cape Town? Are there any organic restaurants, shops or farmer’s markets in the mother city? Let’s find out..

Eat Organic in Cape Town

The market for organic food in Cape Town has grown very fast over the past few years. And by market I mean both the supply and demand, of which the demand seems to have grown the fastest. This is good news and bad news. The good news are that the organic food is available, though the bad news are that it is not enough of it to fill all the stomachs that are craving more natural, green and healthy food. But hopefully that will change in the near future, as the demand hopefully stays strong and inspires farmers and store owners to look at organic options. And to help this progress, all you have to do is to cast your vote. And you do that every time you purchase organically produced foods or goods.

And this surplus food is sold to parents of children at the local schools. It is all organized by the wonderful organization Abalimi.
