While I applaud Marriot’s efforts, I have to say that on a recent trip to Costa Rica I was SOOO impressed with the country’s sustainability efforts. We stayed at a few hotels managed by this company: http://www.cayugaonline.com/, who did an INCREDIBLE job of incorporating high standards of sustainability into their hotels and lodges.
I also heard that they are operating a hotel in Nicaragua which looks very interesting. If anyone stays at it, please let me know!
